It seems crazy for me to have to start all over as a "new" college student, but that's what happened when I decided to transfer from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois to UIS here in Springfield, Illinois. It has been a major milestone in my life- one my parents were a bit nervous about at first- probably because of the challenges me disability hands me each day.

Realizing My Life's Purpose
The most exciting thing happened to me last night. I was in CSF all night- taking over two different locations, of course. The usual CSF met in the Housing Commons, but their wasn't all that much excitement taking place at that time. It was announced that there was an exciting "College Night" party following the normal CSF gathering, a party off campus at a local church. Hmmmm- an all-night party, I wonder what's planned?I soon found out. The Living Word Fellowship Church, where a friend of mine goes, was open to all of the college students in Springfield. I thought, at first, that this might be a lecture-type of event, where a paster would preech the entire night. . . and there'd be no chances for the students to get involved in the worship/ I was wrong, it was just like CSF. . . .only 1ox bigger and louder.Being invited to the Living Word Fellowship Church made me begin to realize what my life's calling might be. I hope that I'll be able to continue going back to that church, and be able to someday be a member of the congregation. The nontraditional church is where I feel the Holy Spirit is directing me to, but it has taken me a while to begin to realize this
