The "Rubber" Game

I really hope that the Cubs can win again today to win their three-game series against the Cincinnatti Reds. After an exciting game yesterday, in which the Cubs shut out the Reds by the score 7-0, I hope a similar performance takes place this afternoon. For once, the weather is nice enough to allow a wonderful game to actually take place on this quiet Sunday afternoon in April.
It's the top of the 1st inning, and the Cubs have already struck out two Eeds' hitters. I think that the Cubs are going to be able to shut the Reds down quickly, so they can put some runs on the board and do some major early-inning damage. With now two hitters out in the top of the 1st inning, it appears that the Cubs are preparing for a huge bottom of this inning.
One, two, three. . . the Cubs have struck out the Cincinnatti Reds in order, making the first half inning go quite uickly. Now on to their half of this inning. Let the damage begin! Although we had two men on base, we unfortunately failed to do any scoring damage- ended up striking out. Oh, well, the game still has a long way to go. We still have lots of time left to do damage
