What A Day, What A Night

A lot has happened since my last blog entry. I'm soory I haven't been writing, but I've been on the go quite a bit this week.
Yesterday, I voted in the city elections, which was awesome. Luckily, a fellow College Republican came along to read the ballot choices to me- so I could vote successfully. It's too bad that it wasn't my "mysterious man" helping me. He would have been a good helper.
After voting, I made a stop at the home of one of the candidates. I learned that getting into her house was a challenge. The stairs only had a railing on one side, which was quite wobbly. I didn't stay for long, because I had yet another adventure waiting for me. Luckily, it was in Springfield, so I didn't really have too long to sit in the car. I'm glad a fellow College Republican, like myself, took time out of a crazy day to be a part of the political craziness.
I tried my hand at poll-watching; however, that didn't go very well at all. It was a bit boring, but the CR president bought me a can of Mountain Dew, so it wasn't like I had tried this experience for nothing. . . What would you have done in my place?
Next, on to Headquarters, where I did some phone-banking. I called people to encourage them to vote, if they hadn't done so already. After making the first call, I had the little speech I was to give memorized. This job only took me about thirty minutes or so to complete.
Back to school briefly to relax for a while, before party-hopping. That's what I said- partyhopping. I visited each winning candidate's victory party, all of which had food. Each party I visited, I drank more Mountain Dew. I ate a hot dog at one party, then two little slices of pizza at another; however, I drank a cup/glass of soda at each location. Boy, was I wide awake and hyper.
Upon returning to school late, like near midnight, I was exhausted. . . but happy. It had been a very successful and busy day. I don't think I've ever had so much fun like that before. Oh, wait! Yes, I have. . . BWW last week; however, the "mystery man" wasn't present
