The Right One To Help

Since I have a disability, I feel that I'd be a much better person suited for working with special needs students- not the Prankster. I know the challenges that are affecting students with disabilities because I'm among the disability population here at UIS. I have personal experience of challenges that I've had to face and overcome as a result of my unique disability; whereas, I'm not sure if the Prankster has any knowledge of the different disabilities that exist in the world.
Having a disability would allow me to use my experience to help other special needs students overcome the trials and tribulations that come with being a college student among an otherwise "normal" student body. Although there are probably many students with disabilities, I don't often see very many. Maybe, some students are afraid to show that they have a disability because they're scared that they won't be accepted by their teachers and peers. Using my experience of feeling like I'm not always accepted as a result of my disability would help me teach others that they shouldn't be ashamed of who they are. I don't think the prankster can do that.
