Multiple Disabilities=Multiple Challenges

I've been trying to educate people about my epilepsy-as well as the other challenging disabilities I have-so I'd like to use this space to tell people about my physical disability. By creating this blog, I hope to raise total awareness about physical disabilities- not just in my community, but all across the world. If you think having one disability is challenging enough for me. . . imagine what it might be like if you had three challenging disabilities all at once.
My life is a tripple challenge. For one thing, having cerebral palsy makes my body act as if it has a mind of it's own practically all the time. That gets on my nerves sometimes. Although the form of CP I have primarily affects my legs, my upper body is affected, too- but not as much as my lower body. My upper body is only affected in the inability of my hand muscles being able to not tighten up, especially if I'm trying to write something by hand. As a result, my handwriting is often illegible, and people sometimes have a difficult time reading it. Knowing that this is going to by a life long challenge, I've become used to it; realized that typing comes easier for me- and people can actually read what I have written.
Being legally blind isn't as big of a challenge as having CP. Since I can't see regular print, I have had to learn how to accommodate for the assistance that would help me learn how to not rely so much on the little vision I have. I have been learning how to rely on the other senses I have in working order to be able to live in this world.
Having epilepsy only presents me with one big challenge. Mainly, being outside in very warm weather isn't good because I could have a seizure as a result of the heat. This could also happen if I don't remember to take my medicine, but I'm glad that hasn't happened. I'm happy that my epilepsy is totally under control; however, I still consider it among the several unique aspects of my complex disability.
