A Decision I Felt It Was Time To Make

Making the decision to join the Living Word Fellowship Church was a challenging and difficult decision that I had to make. Luckily, I had the opportunity to go to the church last night to see if it was someplace where I'd feel like I actually belonged, or if it just wasn't for me. After taking part in all the dancing and singing, it was quite clear to me that I had found a church to call home.
Breaking away from the traditional church has been something that I've explored in the past; however, actually finding a church to attend just wasn't really possible. Getting to and from church involved trying to get transportation, and it was often difficult to go to church- knowing that my friends all attend different churches.
Now, I feel that this dilemma has finally come full-circle, and I can now resume persuing my personal goal and dream of learning all about what being a true Christian is really about. Personally, I don't think you really get a complete understanding of this interesting faith just by attending a traditional church. Sometimes, it's better to have some fun while learning at the same time.

My Interesting Life As a Student

Springfield, Illinois, United States
I'm living in Springfield, but I'm originally from Chicago. I am now living in a group home for people who are visually impaired. Living at the Mary Bryant Home has been a huge step in my life. I am now able to get involved in activities every day. I am making lots of new friends, and I'm enjoying living with my new family. Since I'm the youngest person, I feel like I have lots of parents and grandparents, and even my best friend, who is like a big sister, to spend my time with. I don't think I'd change this for anything else in the world.
