It's Baseball Season Once More

Crack! Pop! Whack!-- goes the baseball against the bat.
I wonder what where that sound came from;
A noise like the popping of a balloon-
But, I’m not stopping.
To figure out what that sound is,
For I’m too busy wondering-
Just what could be making that sound.

Crack! Pop! Whack!-- “Peanuts! Popcorn!” I’m getting hungry,
I think I’ll get a snack.
But I won’t be gone long,
Just long enough to get something to eat-
Because I don’t want to miss-
Any of the game.

Crack! Pop! Whack!---I hate missing any of the action-
For when I’m not around;
I might feel bad,
About the awful score.
Never more, I say;
I will try to stay-
Right where I am- in my seat.

Crack! Pop! Whack!---now that works-
I will stay right here,
And just be-
A loyal baseball fan,
A loyal baseball fan am I!
Missing any of the plays-
Is what loyal fans won’t do.

Crack! Pop! Whack!--some fans may come,
And go-
But I will stay,
Truthful and loyal;
To the game of baseball-
A sport I love,
A sport I wish I could play.

Crack! Pop! Whatc!---some people may believe-
You can’t be a loyal fan,
I ask them “Why”-
Why must you not like baseball?
Especially if it’s your favorite sport.
That comes with the dawn of spring-
And the chance to go outdoors.

My Interesting Life As a Student

Springfield, Illinois, United States
I'm living in Springfield, but I'm originally from Chicago. I am now living in a group home for people who are visually impaired. Living at the Mary Bryant Home has been a huge step in my life. I am now able to get involved in activities every day. I am making lots of new friends, and I'm enjoying living with my new family. Since I'm the youngest person, I feel like I have lots of parents and grandparents, and even my best friend, who is like a big sister, to spend my time with. I don't think I'd change this for anything else in the world.
