Last Travel Before Summer Vacation

As it turned out, I didn't go to church today; however, I don't think I would have wanted to venture out into the unusually cold weather. Who'd want to go outdoors when the air temperature is winterlike? Personally, I'd like to stay in when the cold air is around- knowing that it makes moving about such a challenge.
Knowing that it's Easter weekend, I'm actually shocked at how many people decided to travel in such crazy weather conditions. Some of my friends live up north-close to or in Chicago, and it's colder there than it is here in Springfield. I would have thought that nobody would want to venture up north, knowing that it definitely feels a lot like winter never actually left that region of Illinois. Boy, am I glad I am not one of the travellers.
Knowing that we only have just a short time left before the end of the school year, I would have thought that people wouldn't go home this weekend. I thought that as many people as possible would stay on campus this weekend, and have Easter celebrations with their friends. I mean, pretty much everyone's going somewhere for summer vacation in May, anyway. I think that going out of town now- and then going again at the end of the school year is a bit too much.

My Interesting Life As a Student

Springfield, Illinois, United States
I'm living in Springfield, but I'm originally from Chicago. I am now living in a group home for people who are visually impaired. Living at the Mary Bryant Home has been a huge step in my life. I am now able to get involved in activities every day. I am making lots of new friends, and I'm enjoying living with my new family. Since I'm the youngest person, I feel like I have lots of parents and grandparents, and even my best friend, who is like a big sister, to spend my time with. I don't think I'd change this for anything else in the world.
