An Amazing End

I am glad that this school year is winding down. At times, it's been stressful academically and emotionally. Making the transition from a fairly big school to a slightly smaller one has had its ups and downs over the course of this academic year- a year that has often made me wish that school wasn't quite so stressful. It's been especially stressful since I have a disability that can often make my life tough.
Luckily, I'm not the type of person who lets the stress of school and life get me down. If it does feel like school is too stressful, I try to not let that bother me for very long, and I do my best to focus on something I really enjoy- something that won't cause a lot of stress, such as writing blog entries or spending time with good friends.
Having such a complex life-long disability, plus trying to make it through school, has been exhaustingly tough this year. No matter what challenges I had this year, I have still enjoyed the new experiences I've constantly had throughout this academic year.

My Interesting Life As a Student

Springfield, Illinois, United States
I'm living in Springfield, but I'm originally from Chicago. I am now living in a group home for people who are visually impaired. Living at the Mary Bryant Home has been a huge step in my life. I am now able to get involved in activities every day. I am making lots of new friends, and I'm enjoying living with my new family. Since I'm the youngest person, I feel like I have lots of parents and grandparents, and even my best friend, who is like a big sister, to spend my time with. I don't think I'd change this for anything else in the world.
