It's Quiet. . . Too Quiet

It's almost 8:00 in the evening, and it seems odd that it's so quiet for a Saturday night. Normally, there are people roaming about on my floor, but it seems as though everyone has decided to venture home to have Easter with their families. It's odd, though, because not everyone lives close enough to be able to venture home for the weekend. By it being so close to the end of the school year, as well, I thought that not many students would want to go home until the school year actually came to an end.
I wish that I could have gone home to have Easter with my family, but that just isn't really possible. Living in Chicago makes travel quite difficult. Just to go home for the weekend really doesn't seem worth a trip to and back. PLus, purchasing a train ticket isn't something that I have had experience doing on my own. . . and it can get fairly expensive travelling back and forth between UIS and Chicago.

My Interesting Life As a Student

Springfield, Illinois, United States
I'm living in Springfield, but I'm originally from Chicago. I am now living in a group home for people who are visually impaired. Living at the Mary Bryant Home has been a huge step in my life. I am now able to get involved in activities every day. I am making lots of new friends, and I'm enjoying living with my new family. Since I'm the youngest person, I feel like I have lots of parents and grandparents, and even my best friend, who is like a big sister, to spend my time with. I don't think I'd change this for anything else in the world.
