A New Form of Christian Thinking

My decision to further explore and learn about being a Christian is unknown to my mom. She only knows that I'm trying to find a church that I like here in Springfield that I'd like to regularly attend. She also only knows that I'm very active in CSF events and other activities here on the UIS campus. I'm afraid of telling her where my faith is leading me, for fear that she'll tell me that I've "already completed my learning about the Christian faith".
Having had to pretty much only get exposed to "traditional" Christian faith for many years- as long as I can remember- I think that I need to try something new. I've figured out that "traditional" Christian faith just doesn't suit me at all. It doesn't seem like the lessons are presented in a way that college kids would be able to understand and be able to apply to their own lives.

My Interesting Life As a Student

Springfield, Illinois, United States
I'm living in Springfield, but I'm originally from Chicago. I am now living in a group home for people who are visually impaired. Living at the Mary Bryant Home has been a huge step in my life. I am now able to get involved in activities every day. I am making lots of new friends, and I'm enjoying living with my new family. Since I'm the youngest person, I feel like I have lots of parents and grandparents, and even my best friend, who is like a big sister, to spend my time with. I don't think I'd change this for anything else in the world.
