What Happened to the Cubs Today

In the top of the 8th inning, the Cubs are trying to continue their comeback. They're pouring on the power, and two men are currently on base. I'm hoping that someone else gets on base, and the bases are loaded full of Cubbies. With only one out, I'm keeping my hope alive that a scoring opportunity is in the favor of the Cubs this inning. If that happens, it would be incredible. I'm thinking that the Cubs would like to get some more runs this inning.
With two outs already and two men on base, I wonder just what might happen next. It would be cool if a third baserunner allows the Cubs to score another run or two. I know that Cubs fans all over the country would love to see and hear an exciting end to the top of the 8th inning. Unfortunately, the Cubs were unable to score in their half of the 8th inning. Now, it's time to strike out the three Brewers hitters and do damage in the 9th inning.
It's now time to strike out the Brewers, and prevent any chances of them scoring again. So far so good- one hitter just struck out. The rest of this inning should go just as well. The Brewers, with one out already, have a man on base- and they're trying to increase their lead. Yet, there's simply NO chance of that happening.
With a pitching change in the bottom of this 8th inning, I hope that it eliminates the Milwaukee Brewers from actually scoring again. If the Milwaukee Brewers are kept from scoring again, the Cubs will have their chance in the top of the 9th inning to make a HUGE comeback in order to sweep this series. Unfortunately, however, the Brewers have just scored three more runs to have the lead of 9-4. That's the last straw! They had better not score again, so the Cubs can make a MONSTER comeback in the upcoming inning.
Now in the 9th inning, I hope that the Cubs can score, and reverse the damage that the Brewers are trying their best to cause. Unfortunately, one hitter has been struck out already. I'd hate to return to Chicago and open at Wrigley Field without having swept this weekend series in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Returning to the home field with a series sweep would be cool. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be. Maybe, tomorrow will be a better day.

My Interesting Life As a Student

Springfield, Illinois, United States
I'm living in Springfield, but I'm originally from Chicago. I am now living in a group home for people who are visually impaired. Living at the Mary Bryant Home has been a huge step in my life. I am now able to get involved in activities every day. I am making lots of new friends, and I'm enjoying living with my new family. Since I'm the youngest person, I feel like I have lots of parents and grandparents, and even my best friend, who is like a big sister, to spend my time with. I don't think I'd change this for anything else in the world.
