I'm Keeping My Fingers Crossed

Today, I am hoping that the Director of the Mary Bryant Home for the Blind calls me to discuss whether my physical limitations wouldn't make me a good candidate for possibly living there. This is something that I am strongly hoping turns out for the best. I mean, I feel that having on-campus living experience makes me a good candidate for living in an assisted-living setting. Nonetheless, my physical disability might be the issue in question, as most of the residents only have visual disabilities.
If I learn that this isn't going to work out, it's only going to mean that I'll have to live on campus again next year. Do I really want to do that, knowing that living on campus- in campus housing this year, so far- has already created so many challenges for me? If there is a way to make living on campus less of a struggle for me, I might want to stay on campus. But, that is something I'm not thinking about right now.

My Interesting Life As a Student

Springfield, Illinois, United States
I'm living in Springfield, but I'm originally from Chicago. I am now living in a group home for people who are visually impaired. Living at the Mary Bryant Home has been a huge step in my life. I am now able to get involved in activities every day. I am making lots of new friends, and I'm enjoying living with my new family. Since I'm the youngest person, I feel like I have lots of parents and grandparents, and even my best friend, who is like a big sister, to spend my time with. I don't think I'd change this for anything else in the world.
